The smell is nice, kind of warm and spicy. Some days I think it's a little on the masculine side, but that doesn't bother me much. However, this does not clean my hair well unless I wash three times. To be fair, I exercise, have a lot of hair and probably have slightly greasier hair than average. For someone with fine, short or dry hair, this might be perfect. For me, I will be looking elsewhere. I am new to vegan hair-care products and I'm searching for the ones that are right for me. In case this helps anyone in a similar situation, I like this shampoo better than the Giovanni Tea Tree Oil shampoo and less than Yes to Carrots! shampoo. However This stuff removes the oil from my hair after one wash (after I have been using it for a while). Other shampoos I would half to wash my hair 4 times and it would stay clean for only 6 hours then turn oily again. This stuff I can keep my head hair clean for days with out oil in it. If I have buzzed hair or long hair it works great! Its organic so no headaches, rashes or side effects from prolonged use. Price? its not something you'll see at the dollar store but for the money it works extremely well. From someone who had oily hair to the max Now its clean to the max! It works so well you'll think it contains God like powers! I think it has ORGANIC ingredients that work. Not some chemicals from a lab that "helps a tad" Like other products. Unfortunately, I have found that most moisturizing all-natural cleansers tend not to thoroughly remove my makeup.
