I was a little surprised by the size of the head. I expected it to be the size of a wig styling head and it was quite a bit smaller (like a large doll's head). The hair was very synthetic but that didn't surprise me because after all that's what I paid for. I bought this for practicing updos and braids but don't think it'll be easy to work with due to it's slippery type hair. I will probably order the human hair version, although it cost quite a bit more. In short, you get what you pay for.
