Essential for health, protein in your diet is broken down during digestion and later restrctured to make the proteins and enzymes your body needs for life. For example, protein stabilizes blood sugar levels and protects against diabetes. User's Guide to Protein and Amino Acids (Basic Health Publications User's Guide) Reviews
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: User's Guide to Protein and Amino Acids (Basic Health Publications User's Guide) (Paperback) It is an odd size, but other than that, it is well presented, concise, presents enough background to understand how and some of the why's. It has a concise list of amino acids, their uses, deficiencies and suggestions. There is also a bit of caution of use and needed vitamins for the amino acids to work. The section of whey protein, vegan diets, and high protein diets was helpful and seems open minded. Great vest pocket guide.
